Connections
A connection is how MSPintegrations talks to a third-party system on your behalf. Every PSA integration, every Microsoft 365 Remote Mailbox, and every custom HTTP endpoint that your rules call is backed by a connection.
Connections live under Settings → Connections in the console. Each connection stores the credentials, endpoint, and any personality-specific settings needed to make authenticated requests.
What Uses Connections
- PSA integrations (Autotask, ConnectWise, HaloPSA): every PSA action ultimately uses the corresponding PSA connection to make API calls.
- Email Processing Remote Mailboxes: a Microsoft 365 or IMAP connection grants access to a remote inbox that MSPintegrations polls.
- Workflows: event subscriptions are bound to a PSA connection.
- Custom HTTP requests: the HTTP Request action can use a personality connection to add auth headers, signatures, and base URLs without exposing credentials in the action itself.
