📄️ API Threshold
Autotask tracks all API usage. When Autotask senses that any Autotask database has used more than its allotment of API requests, the Autotask system automatically throttles and then disables API access to the entire Autotask tenant until usage drops back down to be less than your limit. The default limit is 10,000 API requests over a rolling 60 minute period. If an Autotask database has any 60-minute period with more than its allotment (10,000 by default), the API is disabled for that tenant/
📄️ Attachment Limits
The Autotask API provides methods to create, query, and delete attachments in Autotask. These attachments can be associated with various Autotask database entities, including but not limited to:
📄️ Duplicate Ticket Handling
Autotask has a system setting called "Duplicate Ticket Handling". This feature made sense when it was added in the early 2000's before Autotask had an API, but we (almost always) recommend that you disable it.
📄️ Impersonation
The Autotask API provides a method to impersonate an Autotask contact or resource (user) when creating tickets, ticket notes, and other API entities. When receiving an API call with contact or resource impersonation, Autotask will accept the API call as if the impersonated contact or resource made the request (as opposed to listing the call as being performed by the API integration user).
📄️ Move Contact and Ticket LiveLink
Move Contact and Tickets by MSPintegrations is an Autotask LiveLink that helps to move an Autotask contact from one account to another account. The LiveLink also presents a list of all Autotask tickets for the contact and can move each ticket, as well.
📄️ Review Complete API Calls
MSPintegrations integrates with the Autotask API and facilitates access to all exposed API calls exposed by Autotask. You can create MSPintegrations workflows that create, query, update, and delete any available Autotask API entity type, and modify any available Autotask API field.
📄️ Rich Text
Although the Autotask user interface supports rich text formatting such as bold, italic, underline, and inline images, the Autotask API does not. All Autotask API calls use plaintext.
