Set Purge Date
The Set Purge Date action configures when the current message should be removed from history. Use this to manage storage by removing messages earlier or keeping important messages longer than the default retention period.
When to Use This Action
Use this action when:
- You want high-volume, low-importance messages purged sooner than the system default
- You need to keep a specific message longer for compliance or reference purposes
- You are dynamically calculating a retention period based on message content

This action does not return any variables.
Notes
- Only affects the current message's history record
- Use longer retention for important messages you may need to reference later
- Use shorter retention for high-volume, low-importance messages to manage storage
