Create Missive Task

The Create Missive Task action creates either a standalone task or a subtask attached to a conversation.

Configuration

FieldDescription
Missive ConnectionSelect the Missive connection to use.
TitleEnter the task title, up to 1,000 characters. Supports text expressions.
DescriptionEnter an optional description, up to 10,000 characters. Supports text expressions.
StateChoose To do, In progress, or Closed. Defaults to To do.
OrganizationSelect the organization. This is required when you select a team or add assignees. Supports text expressions.
TeamSelect the team responsible for the task. Supports text expressions.
AssigneesAdd one row per assignee. Select a user by name and email, or unlock the row to enter a user ID or text expression. The picker uses the selected organization.
Due Date (UTC)Enter an explicit UTC ISO 8601 timestamp, such as 2026-11-05T17:00:00Z. Supports text expressions.
Parent Conversation IDEnter a conversation ID to create a subtask. Leave blank for a standalone task. Supports text expressions.
Add Conversation to InboxFor a subtask, add the parent conversation to the inbox. The action ignores this choice for standalone tasks and records that decision in history.
Error HandlingChoose what happens if validation or the Missive request fails.

A standalone task needs a team or at least one assignee. A subtask needs a Parent Conversation ID. The action does not retry a failed create request because Missive may have created the task before the connection failed.
