Connect to Microsoft 365
MSPintegrations can periodically poll Microsoft Office 365 mailboxes to retrieve emails, and then process those emails using rules and actions.
Complete the following steps to connect Microsoft 365 to MSPintegrations:
1. Create Microsoft 365 User
MSPintegrations will connect to Microsoft Office 365 using a standard user, and that user must be licensed with rights to Mail in Office 365.
We recommend you create a dedicated user in your Microsoft Office 365 tenant that will be used solely by MSPintegrations, but you can use any licensed user.
When assigning a license to the new user, we recommend you choose the least-expensive license that includes support for mail.
We also recommend you name the user similar to [email protected]
(change yourdomain.com
to your own domain, of course), but you can pick whatever address you like. This email address won't be used, but MSPintegrations does need a licensed user to authenticate to your Office 365.
Once you have created your new user, edit each Exchange Mailbox that MSPintegrations will monitor and give your new Office 365 user full rights to the mailbox.
2. Connect MSPintegrations to Microsoft
After you have created your new Office 365 user, you can connect MSPintegrations to Microsoft Office 365:
- Login to the MSPintegrations console
- At the top, click the tab for Email
- On the left sidebar, click Remote Mailboxes
- In the Microsoft Office 365 Connections pane, click New Microsoft Office 365 Connection
- Follow the login prompts to authenticate using the Office 365 user you created
